International Children’s Home and TEERE visit the Bongo hospital, Ghana
TEERE as an NGO believes that the vulnerable especially our women and children must have access to quality healthcare. Quality health delivery is significant to maintaining a healthier and stronger community. The future generation must have access to the best of health delivery for a greater contribution to their families, communities and the country as a whole.
During the district TEERE Local Government Forum, some participants made the revelation about the poor state of the Bongo District Hospital. Gerhard Lauth and Frederick Akuffo, members of International Children’s Home (Germany) which seeks the welfare of children therefore decided to visit the Bongo Hospital particularly the children’s ward together with the CEO of TEERE to ascertain the extent of damage and also to see how the kids were faring. They also had fruitful discussions with the leadership of the hospital where Dr. William Gudu, the Medical superintendent laid bare several challenges confronting the hospital. He was very happy about the visit of International Children’s Home. Dr Gudu said they were always ready if they wanted to come back and make any renovation or donation.
